Privacy Policy

This policy explains how Codex Cold Archive, a YuChe Lab tool, accesses, uses, stores, and shares Google user data.

Data the tool accesses

When you connect Google Drive, the tool requests the Google Drive drive.file scope. This permits access only to Drive files and folders created by the tool or explicitly opened with it. The tool does not request general access to all files in your Google Drive.

How data is used

Access is used solely to create, verify, list, download, and restore the encrypted backup repository that you instruct the tool to manage. Google user data is not used for advertising, profiling, or training AI models.

Storage and security

Session contents are encrypted locally by restic before upload. OAuth tokens are stored locally on the user’s device by the configured Google Drive transport. YuChe Lab does not operate an intermediary server that receives session contents or OAuth tokens. Users are responsible for protecting their device and encryption credentials.

Sharing and disclosure

YuChe Lab does not sell Google user data or share it with advertisers or data brokers. Data is transmitted to Google Drive only at the user’s direction. Disclosure may occur only if required by law.

Retention, deletion, and revocation

Backup files remain in the user’s Google Drive until the user deletes them. Local tokens remain on the user’s device until removed. Access can be revoked at any time from the Google Account third-party connections page. Revocation stops future access but does not automatically delete existing backup files.

Limited use

Use and transfer of information received from Google APIs follows the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.
